Ok, so getting your users to share your game with all their friends is the ultimate goal for us indie developers. With little or no budget for marketing we try to get the most out of social sharing.

But what is the best way? Having a “Share” button the user clicks and then selects her desired network. Or, just add all of the social icons right there on the “main” screen?

From a design perspective I like the idea of hiding them all behind on “Share” button and then display a overlay with all the buttons.

So from reading post about “call-to-action” buttons on web pages, I guess placing them right out there on the main page gives the most “bang!”?

In our upcoming game; Roto Birds we’ve chosen the first approach.
